Art show

Today, the children had an art show. My friend Theresa has been teaching my oldest for her kindergarten and first grade years. This year, Theresa also taught some of the siblings of her students, so the art show was an entire family affair. I thought I would post a few pictures from the show.

This is a picture of my oldest standing by some of her art work.

My oldest is usually pretty introverted, but artwork is a way that she expresses herself really well. She spoke to everyone about her artwork today and described her drawings and paintings. I was very proud of her.

This is my second born (she's 3) standing by some of her art work.

I didn't get a picture with my third born (the 2 year old) by any of his art work, but I thought I would post a picture of him anyway.

The baby did not take art class this year, so she didn't have anything to display, but here is a picture of her playing in the grass.

My sister was being artistic in another way. She's been taking Classical guitar lessons, so she played a little music for the attendees of the art show. I thought I would add this one, too.

We had such a good time with everyone. Most of the family came out to support the kids, and that was a blessing. My Dad, Shane's parents, my Aunt Brenda (or Bone as the kids call her), Shane's sisters Sonja and Selina, and my siblings Jan and Michael were all there. Our nephew didn't get to make it, but hopefully, he'll be there next year. It is wonderful to have the support of family.
